about
"Berlin's Hope" is a story of youth, of being rebel and shattered in the late teenage. And actually it was written more than 10 years ago and left there, waiting for the right moment, being perfectioned and evolving with our age. Thus, starting from our more punk age, it matured and embraced all the dark, new-wave and gothic elements of us getting adults.
It is the story of rebel people wanting to do the revolution, struggling against a system that does not understand them. But then realizing the struggle is more with your mind than with the system itself. That you actually have to face your inside demons and fears, which are the ones making you escape to a reality made of vandalism and abuse of drugs. It is a mental re-birth.
Thinking about our past, our being punk, our thoughts go to this friend who is not with us anymore. The guy all our city loved. We would like to dedicate this song to Panza.
Shots for the cover were taken in Munkkiniemi - Helsinki, together with the Finnish model Vera Nummi
lyrics
Moment when you come,
The anger won’t be shown.
Moment when I come,
Is simply what I want.
I wonder what I wonder,
Or what I ask myself.
And suddenly realize
The vicious circle is in there.
In Berlin the zoo boys
Are looking for the spoon.
I prefer to hang myself
Drinking bottles in my room!
Darn the regicide
Of my shattered mind.
This hope… I hope…
The next time I won’t have a flop!
Counteroffensive
Of my spotless brain.
Now I will believe
Like a geranium in the rain.
My mask is full of colours,
But my face is black.
When someone betrays me
It’s like an iced stab in my back.
In Berlin the zoo boys
Are looking for the spoon.
I prefer to hang myself
Drinking bottles in my room!
Darn the regicide
Of my shattered mind.
This hope… I hope…
The next time I won’t be a flop!
Don’t close your doors,
Destroy the glass wall
You’ve got in front of you!
If someone makes a step,
Try to make the second
So he can make the third!
Take off the mask, take off the mask, …
Take off the mask, shake off the dust!
Now in Berlin zoo
There are no more tears,
On my striped face
Now there’s no more fear!
But now the glorious king
Has climbed up on the throne.
His hope… He hopes… Nothing more will be a shock!
